• Can I attend the symposium without registration?

No. Every participant needs to register prior to the event. Please register by 1/24.

• I’m a GSB-affiliated undergraduate student/ staff/ postdoc/ faculty. Can I give an oral or poster presentation?

Thank you for having the interest in the symposium. Unfortunately, only GSB-affiliated graduate students can give poster or oral presentations. But you can attend the symposium and the event.

• I’m not affiliated to Kyoto University. Can I attend the symposium?

Thank you for having the interest in the symposium. Unfortunately, only Kyoto university-affiliated students, staff or faculty can join the symposium.

• Is this symposium open to other graduate schools in Kyoto University?

Any Kyoto University-affiliated graduate student, staff or faculty can attend the symposium. But only GSB-affiliated graduate students can give poster or oral presentations.

• Can I give both a poster and an oral presentation?

We only accept either poster or oral presentations. However, if you are rejected in the oral session, you can still present the poster.

• I cannot submit the form. What should I do?

Please send an email to our official email (bss2025univkyoto[@]gmail.com) (Change [@] to @). We will assist you to finish the registration.

• When is the deadline for registration?

• I want to edit my registration. What should I do?

Please submit another registration form by the deadline (January 10th, 2025).

• How can I pay for the get together event or retreat?

The fee will be collected by the secretary in each lab.

• What is the prize for the winner?

Oral presentation prizes:
25,000 yen/winner (1 winner per session)
Poster presentation prizes:
1st 20,000 yen
2nd 15,000 yen
3rd 10,000 yen

• Who will decide the winner?

Oral presentation: by judges
Poster presentation: by audiences

• Who hosts the event?

Graduate School of Biostudies hosts the whole event. Additional financial support is provided by the JSPS Core-to-Core Program.
